Greetings Everyone! I’d like to introduce myself; my name is Marie, I am the Owner and Medical Aesthetician at Royalty Aesthetics. My passion is instilling confidence in people with the work that I do, providing high quality treatments that give my clients the boost they need to be their most amazing selves.
I have had quite the journey that has allowed me to get to this point. Believe it or not, aesthetics was not my first career path; I studied to become a high school teacher. I got my bachelor of arts and my bachelor of education and believed that this is what I was meant to do; unfortunately, it didn’t pan out. Not wanting to be stuck at a desk for the remainder of my professional career, I decided to go back to school part time. I was always interested in aesthetics and thought it would be fun to explore it. Once I started my classes, I was hooked! I knew very quickly this was my new path and developed a passion for anything and everything aesthetics.
After working for a few years, enhancing and developing new skills, meeting people in the industry, taking opportunities to learn, I decided it was time to branch out on my own. Throughout the pandemic, I was always working towards doing something for myself. I was presented with opportunities while in lockdown to learn from industry leaders and social media experts. I was soaking it all in and was always writing notes down on what I wanted to do in the future. Ask anyone in my family, there was always a notebook and pen in almost every room in the house. All I wanted was a space that I could call my own, to share my skill set with my clients, to create a place where people can feel safe and comfortable, a space that shows my personality and my passion.
I always said to myself that if and when I am going to open my own space I was going to do it right. I wasn’t going to do it unless I was one hundred percent in it to win it. This is why it has taken me this long to get to this point and though it was stressful at times, I am really happy with the outcome. I am proud of what I have been able to build and those who helped me get there deserve a lot of the credit too. Let’s just say that my patience was definitely tested but we all came out on top.

Though it has been tough and bumpy road, I am so grateful that I have this amazing opportunity to open my own space and build something that is totally mine. The support of my family, my friends and my clients has been overwhelming and incredible. It is because of my people that I am able to do this and for that I will forever be grateful.
